For backs that have been jointed,
the top photo shows the lower bout dampened with naptha to give a rough
idea of how it will look when finished. The lower photo shows a detail
from the lower bout.
be noted, however, that the final finish will be somewhat lighter than
this, and in the case of the darker woods especially, the grain will be
much more defined. Also, these boards have only been rough sanded after
jointing, and only a few have the centre seam inlay.

will be similarly processed once they have been acclimatised in my workshop.
